Barbas smirked, almost laughing at the man. Not a fool, I see. he thought as he used his second arrow to fire at the man's leg. He knew Tekun would need to move, allowing him that second shot, or be hit in the leg. Or, he could always block with his sword once more, but taking the time to crouch down to defend against the arrow would leave his upper body open and slow him down.

Tekun continued to charge, an arrow to the thigh was nothing, he could fight even if he was damaged there. It would not be a duel deciding move. As he continued to run, he felt the strong force and sharp pain of an arrow hitting his leg. He ignored it after clenching his teeth and picked up the pace. He was nearing Barbas now. He would not let him stand in his way.

Barbas raised his eyebrow. The arrow didn't even slow him down. It seemed as if it sped him up. "How in the hell?" He sighed, shaking his head and firing another arrow at Tekun's kneecap. On the same leg that the first arrow had hit into his thigh. He intended to do the same thing. Hit, or shoot another arrow when the man tried to move.

Tekun continued charging, moving his legs while taking note of how this man was shooting. He wasn't doign it nearly as fast he should have been. Taking aim and firing and drawing another arrow as we waited to see what his opponent would do. Taking note of the shot, he moved his leg so that it would only graze by and not directly hit his knee cap. He continued to speed up as the arrow ripped through the flesh and clothing on the side of his left leg. He barely winced, he needed to make this man think he was getting hurt, lest he run and avoid a direct confrontation. Archers were like that, run, shoot, run, shoot, run. It was that or take cover from a distance.

Barbas was not like other archers. He had no intentions to run, he knew how to stand his ground. Although his opponent was tough, and seemed smart, Barbas was sure he was better. Smirking, grabbing another arrow, taking careful aim. He needs to be hit just a couple more times.


He grabbed another arrow, holding two now. Aiming at the man's head, he fired. The swift arrow flying through the air, he readying the second one. If the man chose to block the arrow with his sword, he would fire directly at his chest. If he chose to avoid the arrow, he had a different plan entirely.

Two arrows this time, he was getting smarter. Chest and head shots. He cotninued to run at Barbas and then made a swift and quick move to his right, almost as if he was changing lanes, while continuing charge. If he broke the charge, he would lose his advantage. He managed to avoid the arrows entirely but slowed down slightly in the process but began to build up what little momentum he lost during the lane change. His eyes watched the archer carefully. He was now close enough to see who it was. Barbas, a man he had traveled with briefly in the past.

"I'm not the helpless child you remember!" He yelled at the man continuing his charge, readying his blade.

Barbas recognized the face, but could not remember the man's name. "Right, you, you were with that group of people." He stated, grabbing another arrow and pulling back on his bow once more. This time he would wait. Wait until Tekun was close enough for the arrow to hit him, close enough so he could not escape.


"You have two choices." Barbas stated. "You either leave and let me get what I have come here for, or you die."

Tekun stopped when Barbas stopped and waited. He did not get any closer. He thought, maybe there was a chance to reason with him.

"I will not. I need this object more then you do. I've given everything I can to get here and acquire this. Now. I see your arrow is knocked and ready. How fast can you fire your arrows, and how accurate? I can take an arrow, but can you take a blade to the gut?" He asked Barbas, waiting for a response. "I don't want to have to kill you either you know."

"It's not that I don't want to kill you." Said Barbas with a smirk. "It's that you're a waste of my time." He pulled back further on his bow. "Pretty damn accurate." He stated. "In fact, I can hit ninety percent of my targets. I'd say that's accurate." He squinted his eyes, staring down Tekun. "Can you even hit me with your blade?" He asked.

Tekun smirked.

"Who said I needed to hit you with my blade?" Tekun said as he built energy up around the blade through the use of his own. It was exausting, but he made sure it would not effect his ability to dodge. He was already close enough. As he held his blade with one hand, he immedietly pulled out three throwing knives from his belt and launched them at Barbas as he began running and strafing around Barbas.

"Your too c*** for your own good."

"Knifes?" Barbas said with a sigh. He jumped left, avoiding two of the knives, the third one slicing the side of his arm. He didn't even flinch, it was as if he didn't feel the knife skin his flesh. Blood slowly oozed, as he ran around in a circle, following Tekun's path. "Come on then, let's see what you can do."

Tekun continued to let the energy build as he continued to strafe, watching Barbas move. He had struck him once. Not directly though. It wasn't signficant and it didn't help. He cursed to himself. "Tell me, why do you seek this object?" He asked Barbas. If he was still the same Barbas he remembered, this fight would end on an error made on his opponents fault due to c*** and arrogance.

Barbas sighed. "Give me one good reason why I should tell you." He said to Tekun. Cracking his neck and coming to a halt, Barbas was not sure what Tekun was going to do. "Magic?" He asked. "Is this some kind of magic? Afraid to fight like a man? You need magic to help you defeat an opponent."

"Id rather not kill you for something that you don't understand. And who said this was magic. I guess your as ignorant as you are arrogent." Tekun stopped when Barbas did, his blade now pulsed with energy, his own energy. "This pulse is my own energy, no magic involved."

Tekun remained standing, waiting for a response.

"Ah" Barbas' smirk went away. "Your own energy." He repeating, taking a moment to think. "So, that means you're weaker now, but I'm guessing that that attack will be a powerful one." He released his bow, the arrow flying straight to the sword, as if to see what would happen when the arrow made contact with the weapon.
