http://www.rnw.nl/english/bulletin/turk ... riminationWhich goes a mile to show the integrity of our government, in particular our liberal Prime Minister. Because having a dual Dutch-Swedish nationality is all right, while it would of course be better if the deputy minister would revoke her dual nationality.

I thought they were planning on revoking dual nationality entirely?

Well, that is definately what the PVV wants, but the CDA is against it, while I fail to see any consistency in what the VVD has expressed over the years. I think all opposition parties oppose it, except maybe the SGP. It doesn't seem feasible to me and I think the CDA wouldn't survive if they supported it in parliament.
Anyway, I'm going to be depressed about the prospects of our foreign relations if this is anything to go by. Angering Turkey within just over two weeks after launch is quite bluntly a diplomatic failure and we shouldn't forget that the leader of one of the "coalition partners" (minority government, my hat) has called the Turkish Prime Minister Erdoğan a "freak" before. So I hope this cabinet dies before Christmas, but I will be happy to settle for anything within a year. Because this buffoonery is making us look like drooling toddlers on the international stage.
