I'd like to see pivot grabs, f-tilts and f-smashes in SSF2 at some point.

Perhaps even perfect pivoting (maybe the pp window can be extended to 2-3 frames for people like me who can't pp at all no matter how many hours of practice they put into it?).

As much as I hate some of the ledges in this game. If it ever developed smash 4 ledge mechanics i'd cry so hard.

My hopes/wishes/expectations:

    Tethers now hang on the ledge instead of autosnapping, can grab the ledge only 3 times without touching the ground or getting hit
    We get invulnerability on getup attack
    Ledges of FD get fixed (does this count?)
    Grabbing the ledge more than 3 times without getting hit or touching the ground disables ledge invincibility

Thoughts?

Before someone says "edge hogging is not cheap, it's a strategy", it feels cheap to most people for a reason; it's a lost stock that didn't result from an opponent attacking, so it feels no different than, say, screwing up a recovery input. It feels like an accident that could easily have been avoided, even though it's not, so people who fall victim to them get frustrated.

This isn't an argument against it. Just contextualizing the point of view.

Currently Playing: Complacency breeds weakness. My opponents won't stop getting stronger, neither will I.
Actionable ledge invincibility would be a buff to ledges, and would also nerf recoveries. Now that Lloyd that tries to upB near the edge you can stop with a well-timed bair, or at least you can roll out of the way without that one frame of vulnerability.

My personal view on how edges *should* work is that the Melee edges are the best, but those still have room for improvement (like a ledgegrab limit to invincibility, PM has this). The edges in Smash 4 are way too safe imo, it majorly buffs recoveries, weakens being on the edge in some situations, and I feel it removes more depth than it adds.
