RUNOUW TOLD (all this is behind the flash game if you didn't read it) :

You can discuss this game here: http://runouw.freeforums.org/smash-bros ... mo-t7.html

Controls:
Arrow Keys - Move around
Shield - U (Shields are incomplete right now, Dodges are still incomplete)
Attack - I
Special Attack - O (Neutral O is to use the Final Smash if you have it, the animation of the Final Smash is incomplete though)
Jump - P OR UP
Grab - U+I (Grabbing is incomplete right now)
Change speed: 1-7, 3 is to return to normal speed.

Upcoming features:
- Pretty soon, I'll start working on swingable items (i.e. Home-Run bat)
- Finishing Squirtle's and Kirby's attacks and Mario's grabs...
- A new name. The current name is temporary, since I can't come up with anything better, and I don't really like "Super Slash Bros" that much (it is irrelevant, since most characters don't even slash at all...)
- Once the engine is finished, I'll start adding new characters, including some that weren't in Brawl (like Megaman, Cless, Lloyd, Sora, and a few others (perhaps at request)).

NOTE: I won't have much time to work on this project, since I'll be busy with other projects (like Super Mario 63)

- Arte helped with making the game and setting up the online server.
The server costs a lot of money so plz donate so it can stay up (it is also used for a WoW private server): http://www.artewow.net/donate.html

Make sure the creator of the room has a good internet connection, or it will make everyone lag.
aaaand... don't believe anyone that says they are runouw... because they probably aren't. If I log in, I am not going to log in with Runouw as my name.

Last Updated 9/21/08
- Online Mode is temporarily down, unfortunately
- Beamsword and Home-Run Bat are usable
- Added in Sandbag
- More songs and sound effects can be heard.
- Added Snake, although he isn't finished
- Added in Home-Run Contest, but the graphics aren't finished

Last Updated 7/22/08
- Sorry it's been a while since the last update but I was working on ONLINE MODE.
- Added a game finished animation (haven't made the winners screen yet.)
- Fixed bug in AI recovery...

Last Updated 7/6/08
- Slightly improved computers intelligence (most noticeable on Corneria)
- Gave Kirby a real final smash
- Added a lot more sound effects (still lots more to go) and some Music.

Last Updated 6/29/08
- Added Computer Intelligence, from level 0 to 10 (0 as in just stands there (Training mode), and 10 as in psychotically cruel)
- See if you can beat a level 10... Btw, level 10 Squirtles commit suicide sometimes... I have to fix that soon.
- Kirby can now use grab attacks.

Incomplete list... :/
- Sheild are incomplete
- Kirby's B-side is incomplete. And he turns into Mario for his entrance, and some attacks will make his hat disappear temporarily.
- Squirtle has no final smash yet because we are still deciding what it should be. Missing down-dodge and roll-dodge, and several Special attacks.
- Mario's grabs are incomplete, missing dodges, and Side Special.
- Items don't collide with other items yet (Like the smash ball).
- No pokemon exist yet...

Well... I am remaking the Super Slash Bros game, I personally think this engine is much better. It also has the potential to do much more things. Like Camera Rotation, Speed Blurs, Ledge Grabbing, Speed Changing, that Half a second pause when you land a powerful attack.

I think SSF2 is better because this is just another brawl. SSF2 has more 3rd partys and anime characters. What does this game have that brawl doesn't. Other than that this is a fantastic engine.

Agree.quick idea! You see Kamuki's sig?The sonic at the right look like a good remake for ssf2's sonic O.O

I have to be honest, I've played this game and it is absolute garbage. First off, you should never add a character before you finish him/her. Same goes for items. There are also a ton of glitches that the creator didn't even bother to fix, such as characters' sprites changing, missing attacks, no stock mode, among various other things. This doesn't even qualify as a clone of Brawl. It's almost as bad as SSF1. (I'm actually not kidding.)
The SSF2 demo is already INFINITELY superior. Cleod got rid of all of SSF1's problems right off the bat, he finishes things before he adds them to the game, and he's actually trying to make the game GOOD this time. (Sorry Cleod, but SSF1 was just a steaming pile of crap. I don't even think you tested it to see if it worked.)

you fail.

this demo is just an engine. hes going to add what you call "glitches" whenever he wants.

I fail because I have issues with the creator not finishing things before he uploads them? That's like a rule. Never add something to a game until you've finished it. I don't have a problem with glitches (as long as they'll be fixed) but implementing something without even bothering to finish it is a different story entirely. Honestly, this should have been wired into his brain from the beginning. And he's not even working on the game anymore, so where does that leave your argument? Bottom line, you should never upload a new version until it's finished, which is why SSF2 is inherently superior. So to give my rebuttal...

YOU FAIL, NOT ME. :wee:

Leaves his argument in good standards actually. Because he IS still working on it. In fact he just remade the engine in AS3 of w/e. THats what he told me on aim a couple weeks ago. And not to mention the fact that he has the TSR making all his sprites for him.

A demo is supposed to show how your work is progressing. Therefore thigns are allowed to be incomplete. If everything needed to be complete when a demo was released it would defy the point of showing your prgress for the sake of showing it. Runouw also made this as an engine because if that isn't perfected he can no longer continue with adding characters etc. Hence why they aren't complete. They aren't his main concern.

Lastly Runouw= two people, more precisely two twins in high school so uh yeah. Suck it.

Cleod wasn't focusing on teh engine until the devs told him too hence why the engine sucks as of late. And things like throws don't work where as Runouw has them down perfectly. [/owned]

And "AS3 of w/e"? What's that supposed to mean, because I'm stumped.
