I really like K. Rool too but I think if anyone new from Donkey Kong gets in it probably would be Dixie.

Unless he's talking about an Animal Crossing alligator. Or Vector. Or Croco. Or Sale. Or Leatherhead. Or a photorealistic alligator.

Sorry Steven, but I disagree with you look how many Mario reps, Zelda reps and Star Fox reps we have. So Donkey and Diddy are not enough espically we need another baddie and heavyweight in the game anyway. I also want him in the game so your opinions mean nothing to me and he would be a better choice over that freaking Ridely.

It's okay to disagree, really. You have your opinion and I have mine and that is okay. Having different opinions is what usually gives way to a decent discussion, no need to get mad.

I personally don't think that comparing Zelda, Mario, and Donkey Kong is really fair; Zelda and Mario are nintendo's greatest, still-running franchises (alongside Gamefreak's Pokémon franchise). In my opinion, it's only fair that these 3 get more characters. DK on the other hand has fallen a bit behind during the recent years. The franchise has been put back on track recently due to Donkey Kong Country Returns though, but that game did not feature K. Rool.

So long story short; based on popularity and relevance to Nintendo's wealth, I think it's fair that Zelda and Mario receive more characters then franchises like Donkey Kong.

But then there is also the factor of popularity of specific characters within a franchise and how well a character can be translated into a new smash design. Given how popular Fox and Falco were in Melee they probably wanted to expand a bit on the spaceanimals cast by adding Wolf or so. That is just a possible reason. Alternatively, Wolf could just be really popular under the Nintendo employees (or given that his model borrows some animations, perhaps he was just a cheap addition =p).


Enfin, characters I would like to see in the next Smash Bros. include, but are not limited to;
Bowser Jr. (Mario)
Ghirahim (Zelda)
Dark Samus (Metroid Prime)
Black Shadow (F-Zero)
Dillon (Rolling Western)
Other interesting choices would be Prince Yarn, Ephraim, Raichu and Skull Kid, but I doubt those will get in.

Characters I really don't want to see in the next smash bros include Toad, Geno, Waluigi and any additional Kid Icarus characters.

I can imagine Dark Samus would make use of Phazon-based attacks (if you're familair with Metroid Prime. if not; http://metroid.wikia.com/wiki/Phazon) that it utilized during the Dark Samus boss battles, as well as some of Samus her Phazon-infected abilities. It also has claws on it's hand and feet, which I imagine could be used in it's normal attacks. Like Wolf and Falco with Fox, Dark Samus would share some animations and attacks with Samus, but I think she has enough to work with to give her a variety of different moves.

But given that the Metroid repetoire currently excists of Samus and Zero Suit Samus, I think it's unlikely that they'll add another 'variant' of the Samus character as an additional character. I can only dream.

And I don't want those 3 Mario characters for a variety of reasons, but I mostly think they they just lack relevance, or that they don't really stand out on their own. I'm hoping for either Bowser Jr. or Paper Mario when it comes to new Mario characters (although they could very well count Paper Mario as a sub franchise á la Yoshi).

Also, a bit of info about Dark Samus (Spoilers for Metroid Prime 1, 2, and 3, but nothing earth-shattering):
Dark Samus is Metroid Prime from the first Metroid Prime (hurr). This could easily be used for her final smash. Either that, or Aurora Unit 313 that is used at the end of the first video and is the focus of the entire second video. Aurora Unit seems more likely than Metroid Prime though, as Metroid Prime turned into Dark Samus, not vice versa.

I always imagined Dark Samus would have something like a Phazon Corruption Final Smash. or maybe something similair to the Spider Ball.

But yeah, additionally Dark Samus also posses the attacks used by the other hunters in Prime 3, meaning that it could also have ice-based attacks (maybe smashes) in reference to Rundas.

Phaazon Corruption would be kind of pointless though, seeing as the reason Dark Samus exists is because of Phazon and it's not so much corrupted as transformed.
Although, thinking about it, I would like to see the P.E.D. suit make a return in one way or another with the final smash of Samus being the P.E.D. suit, but eh.

Personally I think the Zero Laser is a good FS for Samus but

Having the P.E.D. suit as an alternative costume would be hella neat. In general I will be really dissappointed if alternative costumes (not colours) will be absent again. They have already proven that it's possible with Wario, now we just need to have 1 alternative suit for every character (although arguably, coming up with alternative suits for retro characters Ice Climbers and R.O.B. could prove to be difficult).
