I was at a family area today and I decided to bring Marvel Vs. Capcom 3, as it seems like a rather social game and whatnot, and to follow it up, I never got my chance to play it.
When we were playing, the screen suddenly said the game couldn't be read. I thought of this as nothing as my aunt claimed it was because she accidentally hit it.
When we got to my house, we hooked up the Xbox 360 and changed games and played the other one for a while. We switched back to MvC3, and it still had the problem. I looked at the disc and it had a huge scratch that spans around 1/3 of the game disk's circumference.
I got this game brand-new and never used it before I played it there.

If tl;dr, then I played my MvC3 and when I took it out it had a huge scratch and is now unusable.

Its called a ring scratch, it happens all the time. When you use your xbox lay it on its side and make sure NO ONE TOUCHES IT. As for the game, its screwed..

The same thing torn out my Earth Defense Force, and Ace Combat 6.

Which is why I pretty much don't have any consoles at the moment.

Damn. The only way to prevent it is to have nobody hit the Xbox?
Well, I suppose this does have its up. After all, UMvC3 is coming out and it gives me an excuse to buy it.

On its side as in flat? Or so that it's standing in height.

Cause I know the former can cause heating issues, so that doesn't seem like a solution.

On its side but it has to be on a flat surface (No carpet), the newest Xbox is shaped purposely so it can breath on its side. At the same time it won't ring scratch though >.>

This is one of the reasons I use my PS3 more often.

This would probably be considered as a bump if you had more to say though.

Anyway, it don't matter now. I already pre-ordered UMVC3. :lock:
