I don't go to cons, yet I once saw a man driving a car with a large image of Yaranaika on top.

Well at least its better than people with Fate Testarossa or Primula spray painted or vinyl'd on cars. Don't get me started on Thai tour buses.

I have more friends and acquaintances in the anime/manga community than the gaming one. So yeah, I go to cons a lot. Hell, some of them even have similar hobbies to mine. Like airsofting.

I wish I had more weaboo friends. Everyone I know either hates anime or doesn't have the time for it. A convention or two would be a nice change of pace.

I live in Asia, Thailand to be more specific. We've had a long history with the Japanese, including being occupied by them and forced to join WW2 on their side.

I cosplayed as Naruto once.
It was for a walk-a-thon to raise money.

And... that didn't drive people away?

Well I was helping someone out with their Domo-kun costume.

He was just a large box.

I had to help him walk.

I made the kingdom key and oblivion keyblade out of pure boredom. I can get some pictures if people want to see it.

I was Michael Jackson for Halloween. Seriously.

I was wearing the "Billie Jean" look: hat, jacket, glove, etc. I even wore a surgeon mask and glasses. A lot of people were offended at my school. About 10 random girl groups walked to me and asked if they could take a picture of me. A lot of people loved my costume. Some said "Too soon..." and some idiots said "Swine flu!" I was even in a costume contest, and surprisingly, I won.
