Well, for starters, Ridley is bigger than Bowser and Donkey Kong combined. Dark Samus can be a palette-swap like before, considering she would be a terrible clone if made into a separate character.

Hmm, since Brawl had 35 characters, I would say that SSB4 might have around 45-50 characters.

Brawl -kinda- actually had 39 characters. Not all had full movesets of course.
I'm expecting around 50 or 55 myself.

I didn't count them, only because of what you said, not having full movesets.
Maybe they'll get full movesets this time?

I'm crushed that you didn't mention Pit.  Getting back on topic, Ridley would probably be awkward to control as well, and he's really huge! How do you turn that boss you had to fight in Brawl, into something you can play as? Even Sakurai can't brawlify that thing.

he has like 4 jumps glide and wings of icarus it think he counts also ridlys attack would all have to aim down
