OR you could just let the people who spam get modded, eventually banned, and enjoy your section. Don't complain about a privilege given to you. When you joined this forum, you never had 150 posts, you went into the section under even 25. Why should others have to do 6 times as much work as you did, and get the same result, because YOU didn't like a system of "if you are bad you have to leave." Just deal with it.
