tbh i can get where he's coming from

when i'm on the go i tend to either play 3DS exclusives or Smash if friends are around. i can't see myself starting over in HW when i've already put hundreds of hours into it on the Wii U version. i'd get bored within minutes and probably hardly play it. i did the same thing with tales of the abyss; i didn't make it very far since i've already had my time with the game

by that point the only reason i'd buy the game is because of Tetra and the King. once those are on my Wii U version, my 3DS version of HW will probably just be put away and never played again. i essentially spent $20 for two DLC characters, when the Majora's Mask DLC pack costs $5 and gives me an adventure map and two characters

you have the 3DS version available to you on the go but if you're never gonna use it it's pretty pointless. i would have rather just spent $5 or even $10 to get the characters on my wii u and not bother with the 3DS version, because i just don't need the 3DS version.

when someone says "i have to get the 3ds version", they don't mean somebody is making them buy the 3DS version, lmfao. but if they want the characters, they need to either spend $40 or not have the characters, and that's just silly

it's like the amiibo issue to a degree. i don't want to pay $40 to get Robin in codename steam. i don't HAVE to buy the amiibo, but it's still pretty stupid that if i want robin, i need to pay ludicrous prices for the toy when by this point i don't even care for the toy, i just want the character! am i dumb for hating that i need to get past this barrier when i would be willing to pay the regular retail price for JUST the character and not the little statue?

Exactly. That's all I said. Nobody's forcing me, but it's my choice to want those characters and Tetra is my 2nd favorite zelda character so of course I'm gonna want the wind waker stuff.

As someone who never bought it for Wii U, and only played a demo at game stop, i'm really excited to finally give in and get it for 3DS.

The 3DS version will include Tetra, the King of Hyrule and one more unannounced character, along with a Wind Waker themed Story Epilogue.
Still no word if these will be DLC for the Wii U version...
