Donkey Kong Country is back on the WiiU!

When Vikings invade Donkey Kong's island and chase them out, Donkey Kong and his crew set out on an adventure to stop them and take back their island. Several changes from Donkey Kong Country Returns for the Wii include (but are not limited to): -Dixie Kong returns, as well as an as-of-yet unconfirmed character -Donkey Kong and his friends can now swim underwater (but as opposed to the older Donkey Kong Country games, this time there is an air system for when you're underwater) -Dynamic screens -The blowing move has been replaced by a Super Mario Bros. 2-like plucking move, which is used for picking things up and solving puzzles _________________    (you can now tweet mean things at me on Twitter @StevenEggplant) Last edited by Steven on Mon Jun 24, 2013 3:46 am, edited 3 times in total. |

DKCR was fantastic, yeah.
I got to play this a bit at the Best Buy demo. Only got to play one level, but it's all about the secrets and great level design and such that made DKCR so great. Day one purchase here (probably) |

Yeah I've seen that go around a lot, but I think it'd make sense if the 4-player mode featured 2 'Donkey Kong' styled characters, and 2 'mini-kongs' that can hop onto the others' backs. Hm, good catch. I thought I picked up on a reliable source that 4 player would be around this time, but I can't seem to find the information again, so just to be save I will reword the OP. I can see why people think it'll be funky or kiddy because you then have two large kongs and two small, but I think we're more likely to get three mini-kongs + donkey, because of the way diddy works kind of like a power up for donkey in the single player, and it looks as if dixie will be the same. I think it makes sense for the fourth kong to be a third dude that can ride on donkeys back to power him up in some way

I'm kinda hoping its a new character relating to the Vikings that have invaded. Maybe an Eskimo. Maybe he has a hammer. Maybe his name is Popo. Maybe I just have too much nostalgia for Ice Climber. Maybe its just gonna be some random ape we've seen before.

I read that as well, hype! I really love the Main Theme remix, so I'm excited to hear more of the soundtrack.
