tbh Kirby's recovery makes it too hard to kill, it should only get 1 midair jump

Make the Death Note an item that instantly KOs an opponent you throw it at.
And as a reference to how you defeat Gannon by throwing a book at him in Faces of Evil, play the "NOOO, NOT INTO THE PIT! IT BUUUUURRRRRNS!!!" soundclip while it's happening.
