And anyway, let's be honest

The Xbone and the Wii U aren't competing at all

There's basically no overlap between the two. Anyone who bought a Wii U got it to play the exclusives.

Smash Bros. and Banjo are the same. If Microsoft do make a new Banjo game, nobody will play Smash Bros -instead- of that because they're completely different

If it was "Microsoft are making a Banjo game for the Wii U" then sure but having Banjo in SSB4 would basically just be advertising for them. Might get people interested in Banjo and get them to buy a new game starring him. Worked for Kid Icaus. Worked for Fire Emblem (in the west).

It's nearly midnight so I'm tired and idk if what I said makes sense but whatever

No that does make a lot of sense. If characters like Banjo would be dlc they'd definitely be simpler 3rd party characters like Rayman, Shantae, Professor Layton, etc. Someone who's multi-platform already and not fully owned by another company.
But anything at this point could go, so I wouldn't COMPLETELY rule out the possibility.

Well was. However, he was one at one point and might get a shot. I still think that him and Conkers should have been in Melee.

Rare was being bought by Microsoft so Nintendo was including minimum references to any Rare Copyrighted media (DK Rap, Proximity Mine/Motion sensor Bomb)

Oh I know especially when Nintendo took rare games off of the virtual store.

Melee was being developed before rare was bought by Microsoft so they still had chance in the period.

Microsoft was buying Rare in the development of Smash Bros Melee
If not then tell me why do the Motion=sensor Bomb trophy says "TOP SECRET" as game of origin

If you're interested in seeing King K. Rool as a playable DLC character in Super Smash Bros. for 3DS / Wii U, be sure to fill in the next information on the fighter ballot page at the Super Smash Bros. official webpage here! https://cp.nintendo.co.jp/us/

(Your gender)
K. Rool
Donkey Kong Country (SNES)
He's the main antagonist of the Donkey Kong franchise. He's popular both in Japan and the west: K. Rool frequently shows up in character lists all over the world. Everyone seems to want him. Smash needs more villains: There are several heroes in Smash Bros, but very few true villains. Give the villains some love.

To me it seems that Sakurai really meant it when he said this was his last smash game. With the confirmed dlc support for the next couple of years it seems he's gonna putting as much effort to please the fans as he can. This is gonna be extremely tiring for him, beyond how tired he must already be. And honestly, I wouldn't mind if this was the last smash game. It feels so good that I think it might be good enough to last many many years like melee has. Just keep adding content until you're satisfied and then end it there. Who knows, nintendo themselves might want to make another game in the future because of how sequels work nowadays, but this game has been amazing from my experience.

Making DLC characters is definitely not going to be as tiring as cranking out a whole game lol. This is the victory lap.

I understand that yes but you can't really say that he'd be willing to make another game after doing this.

I do agree, but who is to say it might the last game. Smash is currently the only work of his that he has power over since he doesn't help with Kirby games to my knowledge or other projects coming up. I think when the next Nintendo console comes out, their might be another smash. I'm not sure why Nintendo wants to make a new console already, but its all about staying a head of the competition and making money.

Unless Sakurai lends the smash series to someone else, he will be the only one to be directing the games. Another thing is Sakurai's life is in the gaming industry unless he wants to do something else having to do with coding, he still has to keep cranking games out to make a living. He is currently 44 years old, but I don't know what age is the retirement requirement in Japan. Shigeru is still working even though he is in 60s so I guess its higher.

Well I guess we will see in time.

@Shiver
I will see more into that.

lmfao dude you actually think that's how it works

you know that Nintendo announced there was a Smash Bros. game being developed for the Wii BEFORE asking Sakurai to direct it, right?
