The most obvious thing in this list is DSwift's immediate vote for KB after KB votes for him. Admittedly, KB was the scummiest player at the time and his vote was poorly placed, but in the context of KB being confirmed town it really starts to like a nervous OMGUS: DSwift was somewhat in the hotseat at the time.

After re-reading the game and looking for potential pairings of players, DSwift / Lightning seems really probable to me. They've been going back and forth accusing each other for the entire game and have come closest of any players to making a case against other. Add on TOWK's Vig silliness and it really looks like they're making every effort to distance themselves.

I mean, look at the way DSwift votes for Lightning:That is the epitome of trying to distance oneself without committing.

Also requesting deadline extension.

The plan was that I would wait for TOWK to replace DSwift (my obvious partner by the way) and then tell him through quickchat to draw even more attention to me by saying something as random as That way, no one would ever suspect that we're actually partners! How genius!

You're gonna have to come up with something that makes logical sense if you want to try to set me up to get lynched today.

I'm not trying to set anything up, thanks, I'm trying to win the game by creating information. I'm not sure about yourself, but for me that usually involves questioning the players I find most scummy. I think my line of reasoning is a well founded application of the information available to us, no?

The first paragraph of your post cannot be responsibly construed as an argument either for or against the point you're trying to make. It is very easy as scum to coordinate a course of action that looks like one the mafia would "never" take, then use the the fact that the mafia would "never" take that course of action and base an argument around it as you have done. The whole sarcastic and argumentative tone of your post doesn't sit well with me either. The points I brought up in my post are far more incriminating towards DSwift/TOWK than they are towards you, and yet you've reacted as if I had personally insulted you. Liars don't like being caught.

We were going to get a deadline extension, why hurry and vote me knowing that if you vote town the actual mafia members can quickhammer me? That's not my real issue though, I want to know why you couldn't wait for everyone else to add in their two cents before voting. If anything, you could be lessening the amount of information we'll get by voting me before a large portion of the players have even said anything substantial.


Yeah well, when I feel like I'm the one being targeted nearly most of the game, I get a little pissed off. If you hadn't said then I wouldn't have felt the need to correct you on your assumption.

Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a lot of scum teams could do that for whatever reason you said would help them. I just personally don't see the value of making these blatant votes and posts that would connect the two of us if we were actually on the same team.

It sounds way more likely that the scum team wanted to build up a connection between one of their members and one town player so they could use that connection to get the town player lynched at some point of the game. Like right now.

I would appreciate it if you removed your vote from me before TOWK gives an explanation for making that last post, in the possible event that you aren't also one of the mafia so I don't get quickhammered.

Ah, the thrill of the hunt

So I'm gonna go ahead and call the Lightning +Danny partnership now. There have been a few weird interactions between them this game, or more of a lack thereof. After a quick reread of the game they had an odd RVS interaction where Danny took Lightning's vote "seriously" because he edited his post. Lightning quickly made a joke and unvoted. Now after this I only see one interaction where lightning lightly busses Danny.

And now, notice how they're the only two that didn't take my big kill as a joke. Lightning more understably so because it was against him, but Danny's reaction is more telling.

All that said, I think it's also a possibility that it's Danny with Doq (or BMP whatever you want me to call you) because there's been so little content from either of them.

Yeah, definitely feeling the most targeted here. Also, not that it's anything significant, but to clarify, the joke you might be referring to was in the post where I voted him. I didn't pass it off as a joke and then unvote, I specifically said that it was a reaction gauging vote. I wanted to see how the new player reacted to pressure, which was why I did it.


I'm really sorry that you couldn't tell my response was also a joke post. But now, I really would like to know what your intentions were for making that post and why you chose me specifically even if it was a harmlessly joking post.


While that is a possibility, I feel that your past slot was also pretty suspicious in the way he flip flopped from not wanting to vote until more information surfaced to voting me and not wanting to unvote until he retaliated against Kyuubit. (Note that he did put "unvote" in that post so he thought he still had a vote on me.) I'd like to know what you think of his play up until the time you replaced him.

If you really think it would help, all of you are neutral leaning scum to me at this point.

Firstly, by "Lightning quickly made a joke" do you mean this one:

Yeah, that was when he voted me, not unvoted. Think you might've got things mixed up a little there.
Also, everyone at the start of the match was making jokes and commenting rather miscellaneous things. When 194 posted the rules at the start, I realized after re-reading them that edits weren't allowed, so I clarified my mistake to make it clear that I didn't know beforehand. As that clarification was the first time something wasn't not serious, I was prepared for someone to hammer me on it. And when Lightning did, what more could I have done than reply honestly?

As for your own "joke", how was I supposed to know it was a joke? The rest of the players not minding it obviously have heard it before (specifically, Doq and his "not falling for that again" comment), as they are veterans. Since it was my first time seeing you play, of course I had to make sure nothing was up. Also, the fact that 194 spontaneously threw this rule out at the start of Day 2 (and essentially got kb roasted) -

- meant that I wasn't taking any chances of him suddenly adding power roles out of nowhere.

And as for me not providing much informative content, I'm not one to interrogate players all of a sudden, as when I tried doing that in real life Mafia games with friends, I got absolutely fried, both when I was scum and when I wasn't. It's just my current playstyle. As I play more of these forum mafia games (which I'm finding quite different to real life Mafia actually) it's probably subject to change.

Now, you asked for a reads list, so here you go:

-Lightning: 60% neutral, 40% scum
-TOWK: 35% neutral, 65% scum
-Doq: 250% neutral, 75% scum
-Semicolon: 60% neutral, 40% scum

^Oh I almost forgot: reasons for my reads:

Lightning/Semicolon - They're currently at eachother's throats, and both have strong but opposite viewpoints and arguments. One of them is most likely scum (from the way they're acting I doubt both of them could coordinate something like this), but I can't tell who as they both have crafted their statements pretty well.

TOWK - Mostly due to his predecessor, he was extremely up and down on my scum meter. He and kb were in a little scuffle, but since kb proved to be town I wasn't sure what to make of him. However, due to Lightning and Semicolon currently fighting, I need to see how this current player plays to gauge his allegiance.

Doq - Way too silent. I've provided my reasons why I play cautiously, I'd like to hear his.

But seriously, in the last games I've played it was mostly me being overaggressive and I should probably step back more.

I'm not sure I understand the alternative you're proposing. Did you expect me to wait for the other players to disagree with me, and then for me to vote for you anyways? Did you expect the other players to agree with me and then for us to bandwagon you? Neither option seems preferable to the one I chose. Your actions have lead me and continue to lead me to believe that you are mafia, and as such I have voted for you.


If people are accusing you wrongly, why not simply dispel their arguments instead of getting defensive? My point is not that people don't like being "caught", it's that when mafia members are caught, their only recourse is getting confrontational; they cannot defend themselves with the truth because the truth is not on their side.
