Guys, the Pope didn't kill anyone. The Pope simply had a rally some days earlier, and 2 women were killed because of the millions of people trying to enter a stadium at the same time.

You are quite slow are you not? Ever heard of the Crusades? Or the Inquisition?

A great article on the current troubles of Africa. I need to check for news outside of Asia and the Middle East for once.

World War 2..

Anyway, this isn't all that uncommon. I mean, almost every religion has at least one event that ends with people being under a stampede.

Sucks, but blame the guys who organized it.

Hitler was atheist, but would 'talk the talk' so that the German Christians didn't rebel against him. I have more quotes and evidence for this claim :) but lets not digress here...

Yes, not the philosophy, but the person.

In any case, guy in funny hat says stop killing each other. Some people die at a previous event. Ofcourse what he says doesn't really matter, considering no one will, in the end, listen.

So the pope is like a science teacher.

With the world how it is today are you surprised?

Seriously, how can you talk about it like its something "wow wow".

Besides, that's actually less than the designers of that car had offered.

I had seen a thing about it on the history channel a few years back (when i gave a hoot about TV), they offered to install a mounted gun on it too (though i doubt it would be the pope operating it) for the purpose of firing back at would-be assassins. This was in the time of John Paul II, and he ofcourse declined that feature. Memories a little hazy, but someone sure made sure it wasn't put in.

Quick shifts in power are a very bad thing. That's why the world's leaders need such protection. Of course, such power has to be renewed to prevent stagnation, thus, elections (or death as in the case of the Pope), are necessary to oust the current administration.

@last paragraph: Seriously? Admittedly, the world ain't a safe place and all, but that's a tad over the top.
