Adopting was, back in ye ole 2006 introduced so newbies could get adopted and shown around by veterans, as well as quickly fit in to the major group.
At some point, that turned into a prick waving competition, of "whoever adopts the most people/has the most relatives is the winrar!". And don't get me started on the mentally retarded that started adopting. The only way I can see the adopting system returning is in the form of a controlled usergroup of which the members are the most helpful and seasoned forum goers we can get our hands on. _________________ Play Smite with me?
