Roy sucked in melee
Roy was not added in brawl
Roy was only in melee to promote his new FE game
Roy was a verbatim clone of Marth with faster fall speeds and explosions

What in the world would lead you to believe that he would return over the overflowing sea of FE characters that have the potential to actually be good characters? I can guarantee without a shadow of a doubt that none of the cut characters will be returning. Unless maybe as an alt. Costume (Dr.Mario for example). Being so defensive over your nonexistent point is childish. There are just as many people that dislike him, quit being so self-righteous.

Now back on topic, what series would you like represented that wasn't before? Nintendo only haha. I personally can't think of any.

I think Duck Hunt should get more love than a costume color.
Maybe you'll be able to shoot at opponents when you pick up a Zapper item?

If we're just talking about characters, I think it'd be cool to have an Animal Crossing player character be an option. That moveset would be really interesting. With the fourth installment of AC coming out on the 3DS I think it would be opportune to slip Animal Crosser into the SSF4 roster

A duck hunt assist trophy could be pretty neat

I would love to see Punch-out represented in some way.

Little Mac was an assist trophy in Brawl.

Yeah, I know, but he wasn't really counted as his own franchise in Brawl. I want to see Punch-out counted as it's own franchise this time around.

Can we just get rid of tripping

Yes we can, as long as we believe.

I would estimate the chances of tripping staying in at around 0%.

Despite the fact tripping is annoying, it never actually killed me or anything. But I'd like to see it gone.

Even better if the dog appears, and can damage opponents by touching them. An even better reason to hate him lol. But seriously, the dog should be there, everyone who knows Duck Hunt, knows that dog lol.

I mentioned this elsewhere but, i would LOVE to see the Angry Sun from Super Mario Bros 3 as an assist, moving the same way it did in SMB3, perhaps also dropping small fireballs ala Mario Kart DS/Wii (Desert Hills Track)

Not really. Peach has been shown to be quite battle-savvy in several games in the past, and the Ice Climbers are both equipped with large mallets.
