Even worth trying anymore?

I've been playing SSF2 for about 5-6 months and this game makes me lose hope. I play online after I warm up in the training room and online is split between people who don't know how to play the game and those who played the game for a very long time. After running about 200 matches, I've came to realize all my progress and dedication is not enough. The community claims that it can take a long time to be good, but how are you going to get good without the extra help? People rather have yourself figure it out or just tell you rather than showing you how to play a character or how to deal with certain matchups. SSF2 Youtubers are almost non-existent. They appear for a short moment and disappear. Only about 3 SSF2 Youtubers get recognized while the ones who try to upload more consistently goes unacknowledged. What's more infuriating is trying to bring in newer players then they find that it isn't worth putting in the time for this game with its unbalanced characters and infuriating learning curves. People would rather show you a tech or a combo video rather than explaining what to do with that specific character. So there is no real way to get out of the hole until you play for years but we all know SSF2 is going to end in 2020. Which is less than 2 years. So the real question is, should I even bother playing this game anymore?

my n**** I was just like u at one point. I got pissed at the s*** too, but I eventually got used to it and took a s*** ton of time learning the game. I like to think I improved since the old days and if I can do it, anyone can :luffy:

If you really love the game then don't give up. If you don't.. Then rip. I already gave up on playing SSF2 seriously/uploading SSF2 videos.

In all honesty, I play this game as an alternative to Ultimate, as I do not have a Switch and not sure when I can get one. Another reason I play is for the unique roster, along with a few other things I like about it.

The roster is not unique at all, unless you're talking about the anime characters.

Play again when Waluigi gets in. The only other smash game to have that honor is Crusade.

I mean characters like Sandbag, Black Mage, Chibi Robo, Rayman, the list goes on. And yes, the anime characters count in too.

Only 2 of the characters that you use are from the official games. Rest are unique ones. Are you sure you know what you are talking about?
