Correct me if I'm wrong, but did you use Gregarlink's Captain Falcon as reference?

Only on the helmet and on some of his upper jacket,although ill probably remake most/all of the torso and make changes in the helmet/head.

You also took the colour pallet, am I right?

Either way, he looks way to small and squished IMO. Overall, the stance could use some work as well, it'looks really awkward.

If I were you, I'd search the internet for some sprite tutorials on human anatomy in sprites. That might really help. But beware- every sprite style uses a different anatomy, try to find a sprite style you like first, then try to see if you can find a fitting tutorial for that.

If I were you, I'd start with a style slightly easier then JUS though. JUS is pretty easy once you get the hang of it, and when you master it, you can branch it off into your own style, but to understand JUS, you need to understand the basics of spriting (and some slight advanced stuff).

Anywho update *going to remake the head a little bit and change the body a little more*

That steel shoulder pad is extended to his arm and the gloves are connected to his shirt.

Im sure you already have it but if you compare this image to your updated Captain Falcon sprite, im sure you'll understand the details i said that seemed a little off.

I have to say that I think it has gotten worse. The less looks flat, and the colours scream 'drain' to me.

I think it might be the lighest shade.

Another update, *changed color pallet,changed the legs a little bit.Remade the left arm and hand,added some other missing details to it*

Except the steel shoulder pad on his arm....
But it looks good
