I'm well aware that the chance of either of them getting in Smash is little to none. That's why I said to take it with a grain of salt.

my point with the third party characters is that sakurai doesn't seem to be concerned with how "nintendo" something is. he seems to like to pull video game icons

meaning characters like shantae or shovel knight have (probably) no chance since they're nowhere near the level of pac-man or ryu. a mii costume is about the best they can hope for

That trophy doesn't mean anything. It's there to show that indie games have been on nintendo consoles. That doesn't give any indies a chance per se, if that's what you're insinuating.

Honestly 3rd parties should've never been added to smash. It was originally meant to be a celebration of nintendo characters together in the same game duking it out. Now look what's happened. With 3rd parties and even worse the ballot, this whole thing has become cancer.

People fighting over a stupid indie character when we could be talking about another nintendo character maybe from a series that hasn't been represented yet in a playable form like golden sun, custom robo, advance wars, sin & punishment, etc.

people should be talking about one of these four obscure series nobody cares about instead of the characters they like
