Today I learned that my university monitors Twitter/Facebook for mentions of the Uni name. They use that to respond to people who b**** on Twitter about how the Internet isn't working instead of going to OIT.

So I posted a bunch of messages directly to them just by using the uni name. I challenged them to send an email to my student account. I don't have it yet, but campus network support popped out of nowhere and said "challenge accepted"

And this guy who I BELIEVE is the head of oit (if he isn't the head, he's one of the higher ups) also popped out of nowhere to say hi. For context, this guy tweeted six times in the last year, and that hi was the first thing he's tweeted in 2014.

Little victories. Secretly I'm also kind of posting this in the hopes that they'll follow my username back here while searching for my email. I want to see that email. ((also I want to make sure if my online/real identities are as separate as I think/hope they are))

Also, update on that: Network Support sent me this smug tweet to check my email, but there wasn't anything there. So they sent it to the wrong person, evidently.

They then gave up. Online anonymity wins again.

Hey dude, I shaved the other day okay

Today I discovered that apparently some kid on Deviantart stole a few of my sprites about 3 years ago (my sprite thread is in my sig for reference, but the Jak, Android 18 and SS4 Vegeta edits are mine). Funny enough somebody called him out on one of them.

So I did some digging and apparently some OTHER kid 'stole' the SAME sprites and put them in this game of his (Character select screen at ~2:40, near the top left). I actually thought that was kinda neat but the game doesn't exist on the Internet anymore. You can tell it was my sprite though because one of the game's "medals" uses my sprite directly (look near the bottom)

I think it's kind of funny. I'm not really upset about it; it's just kids being kids. The deviantart kid hasn't been online since 2012, but I might send him a message.

Also gonna reverse-image search some of my other sprites for curiosity's sake
