If the Falcon Punch had more hitlag, that would make this idea 10x more epic

And also cancable midair. That would be something, Falcon with a midair taunt that makes him float if done out of PAWNCH midair.

alright putting together a list of characters that falcon can use his dthrow DI trap against.
for those that don't know, if heavyweights/fastfallers DI in or no DI for dthrow, it's a free regrab, and if they DI away then they are knocked down for a techchase.

Works on:
  • DK
  • Link
  • Megaman
  • Fox
  • Wario
  • Sheik
  • Bomberman
  • Tails (barely)
  • Yoshi
  • Lloyd
  • Chibi-Robo
  • Ichigo
  • Goku

so basically all this time I've been whining about Falcon's dthrow has been a waste of air.
this doesn't solve his problems against floaties. however, it does ease some of his worse matchups such as Link, Sheik, Lloyd and Ichigo.

just to add to the previous post you can use bthrow as a true DI mixup if they DI for dthrow, because they will then be DIing in for the bthrow which gives you a free knee followup at certain percents (varies depending on character but it's safe to say it works at about 80%).

d-throw to knee (probably known but still awesome)
Falcon punches, i'm really good at them, i can land falcon punches 80% of the time on AI and around 40% on human players
Jumping into falcon punches, reversing them (i once got a 360 falcon punch because i reversed it and mario (human player) flipped me around to face him but i lost all my replays)

His jab doesn't have any ending lag. Jab to knee is a thing...
We need a OoJ options video.

Yeah this has been known for a while now. Jab -> Knee is only at high percents btw.
Most useful and the one I use most is Jab -> Grab, but you can use pretty much any other move after a jab.
Jab is also a stupid good combo breaker since its like frame 1 or 2.

So yeah apart from niche situations I only really use jab into grab or knee, but situationally I find that dsmash, nair and uair can be useful.

Did anyone know about jab->knee before I ever mentioned it? I would say I've known about it since like late September, but The first video I have of it was an early January stream.

if I "created" it then it might not be too late to call jab->knee the Starkiller combo :P

lol
I find it funny how jab > knee reminds me of fox's jab > up-smash in melee, except it happens at less times.

Haha I was just thinking that. Some ppl find jab->upsmash lame, but jab->knee is cool (and also more easily escapable).

Falcon benefits extremely from the fact that all of his moves look so stinking cool that no one can complain about anything that would be considered lame if it were on another character.
