lots of good threads and lulz go to waste or stick around so long that they stop being funny when the topic moves too far from the focus

needs more of the archivin'

Agree'd.
It's actually not hard to do. I use BB2 and it's a couple clicks to assign a basket to a particular board (A basket being a section that all the pruned topics go to) and I imagine it's just as easy on BB3.

If it's about preserving the lulz then I don't mind, do we want them to be manually taken care of or automated? Since I could imagine the cemetery getting filled with junk. We could also just create a sub section in Spam called the "Spam Archives" or something along the lines of that.

I like that idea. And just assign that as the Spam sections basket. Blue deletes some Spam topics manually anyway, or so I'm told, so I'm guessing he won't mind also sometimes looking after the Spam Archive section.

Nothing in spam is worth archiving, period.

+1 vote for archives, there are lots of funny stuff there. However, in order to save space, I think that certain stuff should only be kept for more than a year if people vote it in still.

Not a single thing? If there's something that someone really wants to save then we could just have them manually move it to the Cemetary and keep track of it in another topic.

That's silly though. I at least, (and I'm sure there are others) would prefer that they were all archived, and we cope with some pointless topics in there as well, as opposed to having to try and convince a mod or admin to move it.

Although the topics like Sayo saying how he's jacking off and stuff I don't really want archived.

I can count all the topics that truly might be worth saving on both hands. What these nitwits are proposing would make the spam section an even bigger sheepfest, because every few weeks or so, some jackoff is gonna go into that archive, find something that was funny when it was first posted a year before, and think that copying it will make him teh funny.
