Some time last year my wii stopped recognizing my brawl disc, but only when the disc had been inserted into the the wii before it had been turned on. I found it strange how this only happened with Brawl, but I didn't question it because it was ok in every other way.
Then about 2 weeks ago (I think.) The wii stopped recognizing it completely. I figured that the disc must be scratched or something and took it to be cleaned, there turned out to be no scratches on it, just a smudge or two and it worked just fine after that... until I played it a second time 3 days later and now the wii won't recognize the disc again, I tried it on my neighbor's wii and it works just fine...
I would appreciate it if anybody would be willing to tell me how I can get it back to running brawl again, please help if you can!

This happenes to everyone's wii sooner or later. It happened to me not to long ago. It will only get worse from there stump. It'll soon not recognise EVERY disk. The only solution is to send it to nintendo (for free) to get it fixed. You'll find more information on this free service on nintendo's homepage.

EVERY DISC?! SERIOUSLY?! I didn't realize that that the wii had its own version of RROD. (You know... except it can be fixed and you can still play wiiware and VC...) Looks like I'm going to have to contact ol Pete again. (He fixed my DS... and has an Afrikaans accent...) Thanks for the info, Geno!

Still it won't happen. Its just nintendo is going to take PC's idea of security soon and then we can trash the Wii

What about hacks? What does Nintendo do then?
Would you have to remove them? If so, how?
