People will be mad at any character announcement. The difference is that Cloud will draw a lot more sales than those two particular rpg characters nobody's ever heard of

Limit Break looks like it's his dSpec. Boosts the power of the next special he does & gives access to a new dSpec (the tornado). Might be time based like Wii Fit's dSpec or it might just power up the next single move he does, hard to say

Honestly the only sword characters i even like are Roy and Shulk, i wouldn't even attempt to play as the others cause they aren't that fun to use, at least from what i saw cloud would seems interesting to use imo.

There's not much potential for Tales characters, I'll admit. Between all the sword attacks and Artes everything would look samey and only exciting for people who know of characters that scream "Majinken", "Souhajin" or "Kougahazan". Hell, Cloud's got two of those moves in Smash and he's not even from those games.

Golden Sun, I'd say there's potential for something new there. Djinni, Off-classes like Trickster, and Psyenergy haven't really been replicated in Smash. I'd love to see a giant sword be summoned out of thin air to crash into the ground with a deafening explosion, or plant spikes rise from the ground that trap or something.

Aside from that, a lot of people do care because he's iconic. That's why he's in, that's why the announcement was hype as it was.

honestly i don't mind that Cloud's moveset isn't super interesting

it's nice to have kits that feel straightforward and efficient rather than awkward feeling or janky movesets like Pac's or Palutena's, especially ones that aren't all that great (like Robin/Palutena/Shulk/Junior/Duck Hunt, unfortunately).
