Yea, but Orochimaru inserted those kunai with the paper seals that contained their souls or minds.
And abilities, so Nagato would still have the Rinnegan, and Itachi would still have the Sharingan.

I'd say it's Madara's dead body. Think about it, his fight with the 1st was years and years ago. He was probably about to die of age or something, I wouldn't doubt if he did the same thing Orochimaru did with the whole keep switching bodies thing.
Also, Madara's own body would be the only thing to shock him that much.

Perhaps it was the only one he could get his hands on at the time. How would I know? It's just a theory.
None of the bodies you listed would shock him.
