Anyways what energy are they sucking up? As far as they are concerned he got blown up.

DM: The tendrils absorb any energy they can get their hands on... Everyone exerts some type of energy just living... That is what powers the machines...

Then I guess they're all robots.
Now that's not fair. They're going to automatically know John is there and suck the life out of him. Tortuously.

DM: There is a way to kill them...


The machine's weak spot where the tendrils fired still remains.

OOC: Great.
So my RP teleports outside the ship, which is probably flying for some random reason, crawls inside a tiny tube that fired some tendril, blasts it with a ten-foot sheet of flame, destroying the machine and crisping himself at the same time, while the machine is still absorbing his energy. Thus he doesn't crisp himself, but his life is being sucked out of him slowly. Then alerted to his presence these random whatever-they-are's fire more tendrils through the tube, crisping him anyways.
WTP!?!?!!?!!?
Nice way to go.

DM: Actually, only the red tendrils can steal energy, and the machine wasted all its tendrils on the first shot.

OOC: So now you tell me this. AFTER the guy went and trapped himself in an energy-sucking machine.

DM: In my RPs, you need to be able to go with gut feelings... like: "I don't know if he has a gun or not, but i'm gonna rush at him anyway!" Just have confidence in the choice, and you should get through it.

OOC: Great.
How bout this?
[cheating]John gets a queasy feeling, like his energy is being sucked out of him. "Uhh, I'm getting out of here." he says to himself. John teleports away.[/cheating]
Sorry. I am distinctly annoyed.

The ship recollects its tendrils and flies off toward its base... Suddenly a flare goes off in the distance.

OOC: Huh? I didn't really do that... and it can recollect its tendrils?

DM: After the energy has all been collected, or its pilot is ready to leave.

OOC: Okay. Real this time.
John crept down the corridors, ignoring the queasy feeling in his stomach. Creeping along, he ambushed a crew member, silenced him, and dragged him into a deserted room.
"WT-"
"Silence. Now, tell me everything..."
After sucking his skull dry of info through the pyro dude cryo dude routine, John knew much more but felt little better.
Knocking out the crew member, he gave him permanent brainfreeze.
Thinking on how to do this, he teleported outside the ship, supporting himself on a cushion of air.
The energy tendrils were coming back towards their tubes.
"I don't have much time... I'd better act quickly..."
Right before one of the red tendrils entered its tube, he blasted a highly-concentrated sheet of flame into the tube. Naturally, he hit the weak spot, crippling one of the launchers. But there was an added side effect: the tendril was absorbing the energy, but it was overloading! Heartened by this discovery, John poured all the pyrokinetic energy he could muster into one sustained jet of pure heat. The red tendril started flashing and writhing. As the pilot of the enemy ship flew away, the tendril kept getting hotter and hotter, until finally John had no more energy left. As he collapsed upon his cushion of air, the last thing he saw before he teleported himself to base was the enemy ship's hull exploding and buckling, the c*** and decks on fire.

I rushed into a battalion of human gunner's. "the rebels where are attacking sir." Somebody from the back of the battalion bellowed, but Natuarly by the time the shout was heard it was to late. I socked the leder of the battalion in the jaw then grabbed his wepon. "They always give the leader's the best wepons," I laughed as the leader staggered backward hand cupped over his mouth.

The leader had a G-14, a large gun which fired Massive blue energy waves. "Syanara," I bellowed before firing the gun.

The ship begins a self destruct sequence...


"Fatal Core Fluctuation in 15 seconds..." A computer voice rang out.
