I think the chest looks a bit static, and the colors are pretty dark (tough, I think that's more of an artistic choice)

Yep, I've hit ANOTHER creative wall.

I not gonna explain how I feel, since I've been down this road so many times. I'm still gonna sprite and all, but it's gonna take awhile to get a good idea from the ol' noggin.

Try spriting the same character over and over again and constantly pushing the style in a different direction while you do. That might help.

Lol if you're trying to become a better spriter, just sprite a character from your favorite show or video game a bunch of times. If you've hit a creative wall, make an OC.

Although there are a couple of excercises to get the blood rushin' that have to do with creating new content; One of my favourites is "Design an armour out of everything on your desk" and occasionally I just go to the city to draw the people passing by (and during some magical days I even make some money because people mistake me for being a caricature artist) which is also a cool anti-art block excercise.

Go write some s*** backstory or create a possible backstory for an already existing character. I find it hard to imagine that his creative mind just went blank.

Battle sprite is there for comparison, although I didn't reference a lot from it. Don't beat me up. ;~;

I'm liking that sprite. The only thing I'd see changed is the brightness of that pink for her shirt/breastplate.

Finally decided to sprite the villain of the game idea that I had. Well, not the villain in the current time, but the one responsible for the main conflict in the current time setting.



His name is Apollyon, the creator of havoc. The other antagonists worship him, because he's the one that created them and other [insert name of human lookalikes that aren't humans here]. The main antagonist wants to gain all of his power from him by reconstructing the structures that made their existence possible; the 3 Pillars of Havoc.

Tried something different with the shading. May apply this shading type to all the other designs.

The hair I know I want to keep, but I'm stuck on her attire. Some things about her: She can control ice and is the main protagonist's step sister. She was sent away by her parents, and appears later in the present as a member of the Pillar Worshipers, people who are highly religious and builders of the Pillar of Loyalty. I can provide some more information if I need to.

The body's finished, but if there's anything that need to be tweaked, feel free to mention them.

I think I'm gonna go back to shading from above. I just feel more comfortable that way and this new lightsource doesn't look right to me in the way that I shade. Also, there's some problems that I see in this sprite already, like the face. The stance is Chizuru's from KOF.
