How is it clearly a stab? Those are the effects of hitting Fox, not from the sword itself so I don't see how it could be a simple stab. I wasn't claiming it was for sure the melee shield breaker, it just looks a little more like it is all.

If it wasn't a stab it would have a sword blur behind it, probabaly.

Try looking at Lucina's body position, that'd be a really awkward position to end up in from a swing methinks. It looks more like she's in a stabbing motion than swinging. If she's swinging horizontally then I could see it, but still, I think its a stab.

i'm not sure how you could interpret that as anything but a stab honestly
that'd be a weird pose to slash in, plus i'm sure that red blur is meant to be the motion blur for the sword (for whatever reason)

It could hit twice, slashing then stabbing.

Also, I thought I would point this out. Despite the fact that Toon Link and Lucina are considered clones, are they really clones anymore? Now that we have the ability to customize moveset, are they really clones. If you could rearrange a clones entire moveset they can't be clones cause there different. I think adding this feature was a way for Sakurai to add clones(intensionally or not) and allow the players to change them so that's no longer the case.

if they have the same custom moves it doesn't really change anything at all

and you can't rearrange their entire movesets, only their specials

besides, custom movesets can't be used with anyone online and i'd imagine other modes can't use it as well

to be honest i'd give in trying to defend lucina because sakurai himself said she is identical to marth:

"Along with Robin, Lucina joins the battle!! Her physical ablilites are identical to Marth's--it must be in her D.N.A. However, where Marth's power is concentrated in the tip of the sword, Lucina's attack strength is balanced throughout the weapon, which might make her easier to control. She's also a little bit shorter than Marth."


there is nothing here stating that any move is different. if he went out of his way to say that the power is balanced throughout the blade, i'm sure he'd also point out lucina's move differences.

I'm not giving in defending her, it's completely fair for her to be in the game. So what if she's identical? It's another option that's slightly different than Marth. There's no such thing as wasting spots for other characters.

when did i ever say that it wasn't fair to have her in the game, or when did i say i was dissatisfied to have her in the game? i'm totally okay with clones, as shown earlier as to how i would be hype as f*** for dr. mario to return and am welcoming dark pit with open arms. i didn't even mention spot-- did you read my post? like at all?

what i am saying is don't try to defend her moves that much because it's no secret that she's nearly identical except a few properties; think Roy to Marth in a way. their moves are almost totally identical except for a few exceptions, but they generally (all?) have the same exact animations. lucina likely won't be different. grasping at straws for a different move like that is hopeless especially when there's so much against the possibility of it. you'd have better luck arguing that Roy isn't a clone.

The changing intensity for the end is most likely Crazy Hand then for 8.0 then 9.0 for both hands.
