ok so i decided to play this game finally to shut you all up
pros: well made, good sound and battle design (probably my favorite form of turn based + real time combat) and the characters are rad
cons: a lot, and i mean a LOT of the jokes fall f*** flat - they're clearly meant to be aimed at 12-17 year old high school students. so many f*** dumb jokes "haha the cactus is tsundere... get it?? anime????? ha hhh" also there are f*** memes in this game, make up your own f*** humour god damn

It would be nice to point out a game that's notable for being funny for reference/ and comparing, just to know what's your ideal humor for a game. To be fair, i didn't find the game to be super funny either, but i don't think it was cringing terrible.

ideal humor for a game: monkey island, grim fandango, runescape

of course there are people that will find it funny, but they are part of the 12-17 demographic i referred to in my earlier post (or tumblr)

Jerry is supposed to be that annoying person that hangs out with you outside of school
School, you see (especially with the terminology of how to beat him; Ditch is a word used mainly by youths)

? I just used it as an example of the humor I dislike, I do not know why you have to start with the ad hominem. I'm sorry I dislike some aspects of a game you like Geno, but you should not call my character into question because of it.

some jokes were admittedly less funny than others but i dont remember anything sticking out at me as being corny or cringey at all. some moments definitely made me smile and laugh for sure
