Opinions on this weeks chapter??
I liked it alot, i'm just confused about a couple of things.....
For example, how did Itachi obtain Mangekyo Sharingan if he didnt kill Shisui? I don't like how the main way of getting Mangekyo sharingan was supposed to be by killing your closest friend, yet now almost everyone has gotten it a different way.

I think it's witnessing the death of your closest friend that activates it
I mean Kakashi presumably saw Rin die in the 2 and a half year gap and Sasuke saw Itachi die
Itachi saw Shisui die then?

Kakashi said he doesn't know what happened to Rin, so he couldn't have witnessed her death, and I think Itachi said that Shisui mysteriously died. I don't think he would describe it that way if he knew how it happened. Also I wanna see Danzo vs Shisui.. _________________ 3DS FC: 1633-4280-9596

Really? All I recall is when Kakashi tried talking Sasuke out of leaving Konoha he said 'all my friends are dead' after Sasuke threatened him. And I thought Shisui was drowned?

Not exactly, but actually i may have been mistaken, now that I think of it I think what Kakashi said was 'I'm sorry Obito, I couldn't protect Rin', so I guess that could imply that he witnessed her death. He said it when he 'died' during pain arc.
And I don't know what to think about shisuis death, we keep being told different things >< I thought Itachi said in 550 that Shisui went off and mysteriously died, but maybe i'm wrong.

But Itachi did have to kill his whole family, with help, so maybe that's how he got it.
And for Kakashi all I remember is that he said out of nowhere he got a new jutsu (vs Deidara). So all we can ask is what happened during the 2 years naruto was off.

Maybe he didn't show it because he knew if Sasuke saw it he would want it and thus kill his friend.

Itachi Dies
Anyways. I think its witnessing the death of a good friend or someone you have a strong bond with. I thought Shisiu suicided and Itachi was there. Maybe an unknown friend died during the time skip for Kakashi, and maybe Itachi hate thing turning into sorrow and a much less intelligent Sasuke .

Maybe since Obitos death was kind of Kakashis fault, that gave him his mangekyo? But than why would he wait so long to activate it. Also he performed a seal for his mangekyo, which is different from all the other mangekyo users.

He never said that, and you can't copy something like that. If you could copy the mangekyo sharingan why would anyone sacrifice their blood relative to get it. It had to do with the special seal he performed when he did it, it took a long time to activate unlike itachis, sasukes, etc. _________________ 3DS FC: 1633-4280-9596
