Sure, DLC might have been planned for mario kart, but that doesn't automatically mean it was cut content meant to be in the game already. Not all DLC is unfinished content. Games can be complete with extras added to it later on. The only one who will look like an idiot is you since you clearly don't understand the full concept of dlc.

but it IS complete that's the thing. When a game has a release date, and it's met, then that means everything that's been decided to include in the game is there. DLC is a chance to include something that may have been planned to be in at some point but ultimately decided not to, OR it's just extra content they want to add to the game at a later point. Not all dlc means a game is not complete.

I guess when comes to fighting games, every character has to be in. Having one character that your really good at is a dlc on your system where as other systems don't have it. Making it seem incomplete for others not having a full roaster to begin with instead of paying extras. If were talking about dlc like how FE Awakening has maps and etc, there are not required to make the game complete since its not part of the story. Just extras.

^ That's exactly what I'm talking about. Some dlc are straight up extra content, where as some is stuff that's not complete. But not ALL dlc is incomplete stuff.

I'd love to see the possibility of dlc stages as well, of course characters would take priority but it'd be a neat concept.
