Ramsey, you speak of an established Smash Bros. continuity and how much it is enforced within the series; I'd like to call you out on this one and question that stament.
Brining the discussion back to Ridley and his size; wasn't Ridley arguably smaller in the opening of 'Super Smash Bros: Melee'? If so, do you perhaps think the intro video is not in-universe?
Author's note: I do not support Ridley in Smash 4 by the way, I was just wondering.

Ridley was still pretty big in the opening, but yeah I see where you're coming from in the sense that if he were to remain around that size him being playable wouldn't be out of the question. However I personally don't really believe an opening has any effect on canon; since that part in the opening is showing the characters doing things in their various native environments. I mean, technically he is in smash bros 64 as well, seen floating in the BG of Planet Zebes not unlike King DeDeDe on Dreamland. But he was never physically on stage until brawl.

Im just going to go ahead and say ridley in ssb4 is my worst nightmare, but I don't agree with the smash continuity stuff all that much. Like yeah he tries to keep things consistent but I don't think that's the reason ridley won't be playable. He won't be playable because it would be f*** silly.

I can't see why everyone hates on Ridley so much ;I would love to see him in SSB4.
Anyway, who do you guys think they would choose as a fourth Kirby rep? As much as I want Daroach, It'd probably end up being Waddle Dee. (Although Waddle Dee with his spear would be awesome) Or maybe Dyna Blade. But the thing about Dyna is her size, although another winged character would be nice, especially since Charizard probably will be removed along with Pokemon Trainer, and that they only had 3 to begin with.

Kirby doesnt really need a fourth rep, Kirby, MK, and DDD, pretty much make up the entire recurring cast. Any more than that would be a distraction imo. I'd say give more reps to the series that have only one or two like Yoshi, Wario, Fire Emblem, F-Zero, Pikmin, and such characters.
