The TV/Movie section is even more dead than this one is though lol The problem goes beyond that though, the core MG dudes are scattered all across the timezones and a good chunk of us have to work a lot so there's not really a good time to have these events Making it a different time each week would theoretically accommodate more people, but it'd also make the thing a lot more confusing and I think people would miss it based on that Maybe even doing it weekly is too much?? idk I do think ultimately there'd be more interest in Movie Nights as a whole though |

if we start doing movie nights then it should be a fortnightly or monthly thing, since most movies are 1 and a half to 2 hours long
definitely not weekly |

This week's album: Act II: The Father of Death The Protomen  Rock opera Act II: The Father of Death is the second album by indie rock band The Protomen, and the follow-up to the band's self-titled debut. The album also revisits the Mega Man-inspired rock opera concept from the band's first album, and functions as a prequel to the first release, focusing on the relationship between Thomas Light and Albert Wily before Wily's takeover of the city that functions as the story's primary setting. The song "Light Up the Night" was recently confirmed to be part of the Rock Band 4 setlist, and we'll be spinning this album to celebrate. If we dig it, we might just do Act I too. As these are two of my personal favorite albums, I encourage everybody who can to come check this week out. I think doing this as a weekly thing is a good way to burn people out, but I'm not against going back to it every now and again for special occasions. In the future, if you'd like to host your own, let me know and we can work it out!! As for this album, if you've never heard of it, it's time to. It can be a bit cheesy, but it's a brilliant album. Come check it out with us, we'll have a blast ! ! |
