There is a Flash Player bug we've discovered that causes corrupt save data when updating from v0.9b to another patch. Your save data is loaded when the loading screen hits 100% - it's the very last thing on the list, so that is how you know what the error deals with. If your loading screen freezes before 100%, you are missing data files.
EDIT: This appears to be widely affecting all players of v0.9b intermittently. Know that we have investigated the issue and it would require an overhaul of the save data system of v0.9b - instead we have decided to bundle the fix with the release of SSF2 Beta.
For now, to fix the save data bug, please follow these instructions:
- Open SSF2
- Right click -> Settings
- Click on the folder icon
- Turn local storage's slider down to "None"
- Click OK to confirm that you want to delete your SSF2 save data
- Click "Close"
- Close SSF2
- Reopen SSF2
- Right click -> Settings
- Click on the folder icon
- Turn local storage's slider back up to any option above 10 KB
- Click "Close"
- Relaunch SSF2
