Are you kidding me? He has a driving motivation behind his each of his games, plus an overarching personality of an overly worrisome workaholic. The Games are named after him, your argument is like saying Mario or Zelda don't have names because of what their games are called.

That isn't her personality though. No where in Wii Fit does it say she is a health nut, any more than workout videos say that everyone that appears there are health nuts as well. Being stoic is a certain way to react to things, not reacting is not the same as being stoic. Wii Fit Trainer is a title not a name. Miss Health is a name, Lady Trainer could even be a name, Wii Fit Trainer isn't. You don't know she leads a very healthy life-style, you're projecting that on her because her working out is the only thing you even remotely know about her, you don't know the REASON behind her working out. You can't use anything that you only know about her because of Smash Bros 4 as a reason she should had been considered for playable status in Smash Bros 4. You can't assume personality traits by the way, that's projecting, and is no way a real personality, but one you have created to make it appear you are right.

is not a character, we do not know reasons behind it's smile or what kind of smile it is even wearing. It is a representational avatar that any individual may use in anyway they see fit because there is no correct way to represent it. i.e. It could be smiling because it is high, or maybe due to personal trauma at a young age it smiles instead of weeps because it would be yelled at if it cried, and it wishes to be never yelled at again, perhaps it is just a simple head that smiles when happy. We don't know because it is not a character any more than my shirt is.

wft fits in just as well as marth or lucario, not as a "beacon of light"

Personality is connected to your likes and actions.
Wii fit Trainer is a health-nut who likes to work out and help others do so as well.
From this bit of information we can obviously tell that Likes have an effect on what you do, which also has an effect on who you are. Hence that's what her personality is. Stop arguing about whether a character has too much or too little personality because it really doesn't matter in the slightest.
Personally I'm pumped to play as her, much more than Mega Man.
