To me it looks like a group of morons posting topics that are irrelevant. Half of those topics could probably fit in this section, and the rest are just bad attempts at humor.

What makes it so desirable to be in that section? I do not see the appeal.

Typical kiddie behavior. They aren't immediately allowed to have it for themselves, so it becomes desirable.

That, or they think, like the devs, that being part of the group makes them "cool".

it serves as both a catch-all for bad threads as well as an elitist group on par with the ssf2 developers (who actually contribute something, though i dislike them nonetheless) so people don't complain. if you look at the old forums' other section, it's pretty littered with spam and it was considered as the troll section for several months before admin intervention.

spam needs some serious reform. it is little more then a playground for the idiots and, of course, bluemage who does basically whatever the f*** he wants.

To me, it looks like a part of an internet forum that is totally serious business and matters in the outside world.

look at the archives and you'll see the other section filled with s***, compare it to this newer one which is much more bland (i don't even know if that's good anymore)

I have fun in the Spam Section. It's very lively and can actually force a laugh out of me, every now and then. I don't really care what you want it to be because we can't all have what we want. I'll just continue to hang around with them.

you're not going to get in because he doesn't want you in. i can personally vouch for the fact that regardless of filling the prerequisite you probably won't get in if you're not "popular".
