If it was fake, not even the Spyro fans would care. Really, it's not a huge franchise, so who would even bother spreading the rumor? I've played the first 3 and then Enter the Dragonfly, after that... It started to go down hill. Maybe before Enter the Dragonfly, it wasn't as good as the first 3.
