This is just a quick question. What kind of controller do you use?

Note: The poll applies to general layout, not just specifics. If you use, for example, a Logitech Rumblepad 2, mark PlayStation, the controller it's modeled after.

Keyboard is light, keyboard is dark.

Keyboard is life, keyboard is death.

My originally intention was use/make a mini-Hitbox fight-pad because I play a lot of fighting games on PC too. But even that seemed too big to carry around to play SSF2. So I just stuck it out with controllers for simplicity. I can carry at least two of them with my laptop. And if I'm introducing the game to someone who's never played before, I can at least let them play with a GameCube controller for the familiar Smash layout.

I knew there were people who used the keyboard but I didn't know half of the player based used them. It's not strange at all, but I assumed most would migrate to a preferred joypad.

Interesting, so is everyone is used to the keyboard or is there another good reason you prefer it?

EDI: The keyboard is nice, but after playing with a controller I find the lack of c-stick...disturbing. I can map a c-stick but it feels a little to unnatural to SDI (albeit overtime of dedicated use I could get used to it.) Plus when playing local with 3 people it's much easier to have less keyboard users.

It's probably not even half. I'm sure 90% of the people who play this game use a keyboard just for the fact of convenience. Not everyone has a good controller to play PC games because all PC games accommodate keyboards anyway.

That is another reason why I switched. I want to make team-battles possible.

For the same reason that Zalo listed, if I had a controller I'd probably use that.

I use a Logitech Rumblepad 2 (modeled after a PS2 controller) that I've had for so long that it's older than SSF2 itself. I used to use an Afterglow Wired PS3 controller, but my cat ruined it.

Also, PS controllers are more popular for Smash than I thought wow.

Xbox controller. The d-pad makes it difficult however with the way it's laid out.
