Every city has some special history behind them. That history leads to special events, celebrations, and traditions. Basically talk about those traditions here.

I don't even live within the town, but it was built in like 1906 or somewhere around the turn decade.
It was originally just a giant ranch.

Now it's a town that's just as boring.

See where that gets you, puto.

Now that I think about it, Mike Muir dresses like a cholo.
I guess he's the only white guy allowed to do it.

Uniontown of Pennsylvania's history...

There's Fort Necessity a couple miles away from my town. Here in Uniontown is where the Big Mac was created. One of the US Generals was born in Uniontown as well. My town was founded on July 4, 1776 (originally called Beesontown), coincidentally the same date as the Declaration of Independence.

Yet, nobody doesn't give a s*** about the history over here... So we don't really celebrate anything.

Christopher Columbus came to Puerto Rico around the 16th century (1500), and founded our island as "San Juan Bautista" (Baptist Saint John, or something like that). It eventually became a fortress, which "El Morro" was built, as well as otheres. Eventually, it became known as "Puerto Rico".

On July 24, 1701, the Frenchman Antoine de la Mothe Cadillac founded the city of Detroit.

Obviously, the name comes from French. The word in French means strait (being a reference to the river that connects the Great Lakes.)

Known as the world's automobile capital, our economy is based on the automobile industry. Detroit has recieved several nicknames such as Mowtown, The Motor City, Hockeytown (because of the Red Wings), Rock City (after the Kiss song), and The 3-1-3 (the area code).
