Actually in the interview you're referring to, Seth was talking about complications with both Capcom's and Marvel's release schedule. The only open window for UMvC3 to be released in the next 5 years was this November. Seth would have explained this a bit more if Mr. Angry Joe didn't keep interrupting him.
Also:
That comparison is inaccurate. The "one-time thing" was referring to an updated version of a fighting game within a year (nine months) of the original. This did not happen with Street Fighter IV. Super Street Fighter IV was released two years after the original. Seth mentioned that the team likes to have the game "breathe a bit," presumably waiting a few years before releasing the next reiteration. This did not happen with MvC3. Pretty pathetic when I know the ideas behind Dante's costumes than a Capcom employee does. The black coat costume was obviously used to give Dante a Trish coloring, hence why he had blonde hair. Trish got a Dante coloring, Dante has Trish's And the "Camo" costume was a refference to the Diesel costume from DMC2 Who the hell is working this game anymore? _________________ ~~~Just a thought |
