As you all know, Trump is planning a presidential run under the Republican party. However the Republicans really don't seem like they want him associated with them... And here's why.

Trump has been playing a conservative role recently, but remember that a lot of his political donations went to Democrats.
He might just be acting because a large portion of America doesn't seem to like Democrats at the moment.

On a side note, I don't think all people here can see through spin, mostly because they're probably used it it being the "truth" or they aren't politically savvy enough to research the facts on their own.

Oh yeah, Trump's full of s***. He's a businessman, he'll say what he needs to say to get elected.

Well, normally I'd be okay with a businessman, because they usually have a backbone and know when or when not to spend money.

Though, I enjoy having Trump around because he doesn't seem to care about what he says, leading to hilarious results.

The problem with politics is that they're all businessmen... Trump will be just another profiteer president.

That's more or less what we need, in this Recession's struggle. Whether or not is should be Trump, I dunno.

There is a difference between politicians and businessmen.

To generalize, all politicians and businessmen are scumbags who want power, and abuse it when they get there, but who do people hate more? Career politicians or career businessmen?

There is a certain ethic that relates to business people that doesn't work with politicians.
While businessmen can be just as evil, they're much smarter than a politician when it comes to the real world, and they know how to run things the right way.

Therefore, I'd rather have a scumbag businessman than a scumbag politician any day.

Actually I meant it in a more literal sense. This day the only ways you can successfully run for office are money or status. Unless they've inherited a fortune, most politicians have made their living in business. In fact, I bet the majority of our current senate has never worked in a labor job. Hence why politicians are always so out of touch with the middle class.
