The D-Pad of my Wii U is creaky and I know how weird is to use joysticks in 2D planes.

But I think the joystick is necesary in this because you need to have the correct input for tilts, smashes and dashes. And one of my embarrassing secrets come in, I used the WiiMote without Nunchuk for playing Brawl most of the time and it was quite a pain to use

"Pic of the day. In previous games in the series, if you chose the red team in a team battle, your Mario would have been red. But now you can choose any color you want! The color outlining the characters will show their team affiliation."

About damn time. I wished they would have team names like in the single player 64 where the announcer said the Mario Bros. when you had to fight Mario and Luigi.

But wait, will this show up in the WiiU version too? The characters in that version dont have outlines. Unless they're just gonna show up for team battles only.

Maybe the Wii U version won't have this particular perk.

It's a good touch and I like it a lot, but will probably take a little getting used to.

As for the Gamecube-style Wii-U controller, I'm surprised no one pointed out how cost efficient the thing is. When Pro controllers are 45 dollars new, and a new one comes along with a similar, comfortable design (my personal favorite in gaming history) and it's 25 bucks... Yeah, that's a great controller

I think it's cheaper because it's a peripheral, connecting to the wii mote n such.

If that was said I didn't notice. If that was implied I didn't catch on. Doesn't sound any less awesome.

It'll probably be on the Wii U version. Wouldn't make sense to have the Wii U version be inferior to the 3DS one on anything objective, even something as minor as this.

Term, is it just a problem of yours that up tilts are hard? I find it easier to do after getting a feel of what counts as a tilt. It's not impossible at all. :I

Ultimately I just think controlling characters on a 2D plane with a joystick is really uncomfortable

i almost always 100% agree with you, i always use the d-pad on 3DS and wii u when im playing virtual console games and all that s***.
but in smash it's different
