I'm just wondering what you all think of bingewatching. It's pretty common now. I'm personally not much of a fan, just because I have difficulty paying attention for long periods of time. But others can watch unending episodes and never get bored. Does it depend on the show for you? Do you prefer bingewatching to waiting for new episodes to come out?

Yeah, that sounds like a pretty common strategy. You kind of miss out of theorizing between episodes if you don't watch on release. And you gotta dodge spoilers everywhere. But I have friends who will just wait until a season finishes / is on Netflix so they don't have to deal with waiting a week between episodes.

i don't like the idea that the time between episodes airing is essential to the "experience" of a serial drama, or that in most cases spoilers can irreparably ruin your viewing experience. even if you're spoiled on a crucial plot detail, you'll still have the acting, direction and writing of whatever particular scene to look forward to & there is still plenty opportunity to be surprised by tone

Yeah, you don't really miss out on the experience entirely. It's just a different experience. There are even people who spoil things on purpose.

Once I see the first episode and I like it, I just gotta see the rest of the series.
