Could someone list what stages and characters and items are in there so I could consider if it's worth it before begging to download?
Hey Doore, download from another comp., copy it into a USB Drive/SD Card, put it on your comp., copy and paste, and done.
It won't slow the comp.

Well, first I need to know if there are any characters from an adult series of TV or video games.
I can hardly understand you at all.

Trust me, there's nothing bad in the game.
Go for it :o  ;) !
(note: must load every time you play it, that's the only lag)

I'm bookmarking this page BTW.

Well if you really don't want to download, you can always go here and install the YoYoGames plug-in, which should let you play games directly from the site. In my opinion it's less hassle to simply download, but it's your choice.

Hey, about your game...
can I change the Player 1 controls?
WSAD movement doesn't work for me, never has, never will (unless moving is the only thing you do). I always use ^v<> (arrow keys, not carrot V less than greater than!) for CPU games, even SSF2.

It's the standard for computers...

You can set player 1 as the CPU and then play as player 2. Since player 2 is on the right, they can use either the arrow keys or number pad to move. [Enter] is to shoot or shield. I recommend the number pad for 2-player games, because for some reason (at least on my computer) the arrow keys are less responsive when a lot of keys are being pressed at the same time. I once tried to make 4 different players able to play with the same keyboard, but then some keys don't respond. I don't know if the problem is with my computer, keyboard, Game Maker, or something else. :?

Press F1 for more info. As of now, the controls are not customizable. Sorry!

Can I do that for challenges?
I lost to Samus on the first try.

BTW, you chose the good songs from vgmusic! :D

You're always player 1 in the challenges, so unfortunately you're stuck with WASD and [Space]. Considering how few buttons this game uses, I didn't think it would make that much difference. You should get used to it after a few tries.

Thanks! I'm still waiting for the final destination theme from SSBB...

This game need more attack and the part where you fight Link is too hard, you need items to beat him

but it's a 7/10 to this game

Yes it can support mp3s, but apparently Game Maker recommends midis. I guess they might work better and/or faster.

Honestly, I would prefer a midi version of the Final Destination theme (which is current mp3). Even though mp3s can have better quality, some of the remixes on VGmusic sound pretty cool/retro/fresh/creative, and they're more interesting than if I simply copied the exact music that everyone's used to hearing from Brawl.

Yeah, everyone says I should add more attacks! lol but you're right. The game is lacking in terms of fighting moves and options. You see, the original reason why I made this game with only projectile attacks was because it was easier to program that way. I've seen some people try to make SSB clones, but many of the attacks are often awkward, glitchy, unbalanced, or just don't add much gameplay in terms of skill and strategy. The same thing would probably happen if I tried to add melee attacks. And secondly, if you want to play a good realistic SSB game, you can always play Brawl or SSF2! So why don't I make something more unique? I don't want to change the game's style too much, but if anyone wants to suggest new attacks that would fit in with SPS, I'll consider them. Keep in mind that now I'm working on a new game, so I won't be spending much time on SPS. It could be a long time before I decide to make an update.

As for Link, he's intentionally hard. I know the difficulty level rises very fast, but that's mainly because the game only only 6 single-player levels. If I ever add more, then the difficulty curve can become more gentle.

For now I'll take the 7/10 as a compliment!

Really? :? The file is executable and should run by itself when opened. Are you running this from Windows?
