he does have usmash, which can't be comboed into (intentionally).

150% for Sora is like 70% for other characters. Sora's damage output far exceeds anyone else's in the game.

I feel Sora's usefulness is probably amplified in teams what with the damage racking.

Currently Playing: Complacency breeds weakness. My opponents won't stop getting stronger, neither will I.
Couple him with a character with kill potential like DK/Falcon and it might work out. The only problem is that he might not get the chance to deal tons of damage because doing long combos takes time. His victim's partner might come in for a save, in which case Sora could be in trouble given his glass cannon-esque nature.

Ask Miracle-7 about it. He pulled it off on me a few times and basically slowly carried me off the top of the screen and I couldnt do s*** about it

Well I feel Sora is fine. Even though he has no finishing moves except U-smash. It is quite easy to rack up damage with him.

Edit: Another thing to add that I love about Sora is that his down throw is chain grab-able on a decent amount of the cast. I had someone rage quit because I was chain grabbing his Falcon so hard.

So after a bit of thought I think I know what I would change about him. (IMO)

Essential Buffs
1)Aerial Up B Height Increase
2)Strike Raid Priority Increase, Hitbox changed to link hits better, unreflectable/chibi-catchable
3)Reduced lag if Strike Raid is destroyed
4)Increase air control a little bit.
5)Slightly increase grab range (and also increase pummel damage a bit)

Possible Buffs
6)Thunder meteor/higher-knockback sweetspot on bottom
7)Tipper Sweetspot on Fair with higher knockback. (kills at about 15/20% earlier than normal)
8)B-Throw function similarly to Yoshi neutral B

Nerfs
9)Remove Flowmotion Neutral comboing into itself on certain characters. (what I call Stairway to Heaven)
10)Remove Flowmotion's ability to grab with N and B varieties, instead making them punishable on shield

11) Priority fix, although I know this is coming to everyone

No objections here. Can anyone tell me what Flowmotion-Back is useful for? Each time I use it, I have no idea how to continue. I also could imagine Firaga having a comeback and replacing Strike Raid. Of course he would lose his only projectile, but Firaga always felt more useful for me - for recovery and killing. Or at least make Strike Raid be able to control a bit and let us cancel it if we want. Being stuck in this animations for like three seconds just hurts watching.

Does Sora really need more buffs? He's really good, and I wouldn't want to touch his combo game to nerf him because he's so fun to play. B-throw should definitely be buffed, but besides that I really don't see the reason to buff a kill move or his recovery. I think Strike Raid should be repurposed a little: maybe it extends diagonally above him when used? It would remove its edgeguard utility but make it more useful as a combo extender (if the KB was redone so that it comes towards Sora) and defensive tool.

Me and many other people have come to a consensus that Sora is probably the game's current bottom character. And while someone is bound to hold that spot, Sora at this point still needs a bit of help to make him more viable. His recovery vertically is really bad, and a Up B height increase is a change that every Sora player I have talked too agrees with. The enhanced Aerial mobility would help his ability to get in of course, but I wouldn't want a very large increase too it. The buffs I've suggested for Strike Raid would make the move safer and more reliable, although still fairly punishable. As for the second set of buffs: Thunder is not really a very good kill move, and the sweetspot would require a pretty good read to be able to land, and not something you would be able to do consistantly. It would just be something to go for to give his kinda lackluster edgeguarding game a little tweak. The sweetspot fair buff would not remove fair's combo tool abilities as you would have to be at just the right amount of space to land the heavier knockback hitbox of the move. The proposed knockback increase isnt even very large - the move would still kill really late, just not as late.

Sora really does need help, I dont see him winning any high profile tournaments in his current condition. My chats with various really good players in the IRC have lead to us coming to a conclusion that Sora would be the only occupant of C-Tier, although we arent really the backroom so yeah. Sora isn't completely trash, but he really needs help.

The fact that we consider the worst in the game to be in just C-Tier should say something about how far the game's balance has come...

Sora is the biggest noob character in the game. It's kind of sad. Literally all they do is roll a thousand times and fish for smashes. And flowmotion is the cheesiest move in the game. Sick of playing them.
