Hey, new RPer. I need to learn how to battle correctly and fairly. Can anyone teach me?
Simple 1 on 1 practice battle.
My character: Nate
The first person to agree will be the one I am fighting. No one else will join the battle.

Your Character:

Whatever. I'll do it. -_-
I'll post my character in a minute.

NintendoJava's in.
I'm battling him, and that's that.
Unless he decides to bail.

Then I suppose we can begin. Where are we to fight?

How about just a simple circular arena? Let's just ignore storylines this time around. I'm just learning right now.

Alright then. Do you want to establish a bio, or just begin?

Just begin. We have by some strange anomoly both just HAPPENED to be transported here at the same time.
That oughtta be a good enough excuse.

[[Very well.]]

Creis materialized above a small, circular arena. He landed on his feet, scanning the area for other life. "What the hell is this place?" he asked aloud.

Standing victoriously over his unconscious opponent, Nate allowed himself a smile. The smile disappeared as he realized that he was slowly dematerializing. When he rematerialized, he found himself in a circular arena surrounded by limbo. There was only one other person there. "Hello!" He said enthusiastically. "I'm Nate, and you'd be?" He holds out his hand.

Creis was angry, being warped from his home to some arena. Then, this guy. He seemed unintelligent, completely unwary. Creis smirked. This would be easy. Creis drew his sword, slashing at Nate's outstretched arm.

Seeing the move coming, Nate quickly retracted his arm, but a little too slowly. The sword grazed his hand, which began bleeding. Nate improvized a neutral energy bandage and placed it on his hand. "Well, that wasn't very nice." Nate stated bluntly. "That's the exact same thing that other guy did... right before I knocked him out."

Creis said nothing. He lunged forward, sword heading straight toward Nate's chest.

Nate shrugged, unlimbered his own sword, and parried the blow. "Not feeling very social, now, are we? Couldn't we discuss this over a cappuccino, or something?"

Creis merely grunted, slashing at the side of Nate's ribs.

The blow met a solid wall of neutral energy. "Didn't think so." Nate sends a warning blast of neutral energy over Creis's head.
