Flash Games for the Wii

I don't know if you know this, but you can make games for the Wii using Flash. As of right now, Flash games can only be played on the Wii through the internet channel and must be set to Flash Player 7 and actionscript 2.0. I heard that Nintendo is working on making games playable without the internet channel(as in put a Flash game on an SD card an play it straingt on the Wii) and puting Flash Player 8(so someday you may be play SSF2 on your Wii). The full story is here. I don't know about you, but I'm excited.

Im sure there will be 2 different versions of SSF2. One using a keyboard and one using the wii remote.

WiiWare is letting people play Wii flash games without the internet channel. U, somehow, IDK, upload your game to the WiiWare section of the Wii shop channel. Once you do that, people can download it like anything else in the Wii shop channel. And your probably right, spader555, there will have to be a computer version and Wii version of SSF2 for it to work.

You can't change the controls from the keyboard version because the buttons on the wii remote won't configure them.

Yeah...true. I don't know, but I think most of the WiiWare games use mostly "single button play."
In other words, one main button and the pointer.

I think if your able to play SSF2 on wii, you need the USB keyboard.

First off, It is possible too have the wii to respond to certain keyboard controls(my theory). Every console you know now is basically a computer with a custom made operating system. So the buttons must be something. Like the A button could be BackSpace key for all we know. So yeah, I think this theory is right. Maybe wrong.

I believe your theory is 95% likely to be correct(I think the B button would be the BackSpace key). I've made a flash game for the wii before(It had a few glitchs though).

Also, again, we should start a devlopment team for this. If some1 joins in, I'll make a dev. bar.

Read up on how computer chips work. Its all about sending the correct signal.
