Eh. Might as well comment on this issue as well, from a fan perspective:

I see little necessity in adopting so many Sm4sh assets in the first place.

It's SSF2, which yeah, is a frankenstein of all these games,
but if things have too many resemblances and utter rips of Sm4sh and lack the originality that we've loved here, then it would question people (for example me):
"why not just play Sm4sh then."

That also applies for people who want the game to be more Melee or PM focused as well, something that you know so well right beep?

I do like what Smash 4 brought to the table for some characters, but having an over saturation of it could lead to some people feeling alienated from certain characters.

I do like how Falco has some of his moves mixed from Melee and Brawl so he doesn't seem like a full move set clone Fox like he was in Melee.

Why is this in the Falco thread: show

the devs made SSF2 more Brawl because of they're probably fans of Brawl,

Either that or because SSF1 was based on Melee, and when SSF2 started development Brawl was the most recent thing (And I don't even think it was out yet) so SSF2 wanted to get close to that, and then Development of SSF2 lead it straying further off and becoming it's own thing
Just a thought :chibirobo:

Only 1, though.

he still has his Brawl voice

Probably because a lot of people like Sonic's voice from that era as opposed to Roger Craig Smith
I mean why do you think all those voice mods for Sonic Generations exist

it's clearly based on Brawl.

That part was true.
Emphasis on was. :chibirobo:

Oh I forgot to mention Bowser, who has his Brawl moveset but he's better in Smash 4,

But they're the same moveset
The only real difference is that in Smash 4 there's more dropkicks
I don't really know why they were changed to dropkicks, either
Yeah, it looks really cool seeing Bowser do a drop kick
But I always thought he was a more Punching oriented fellow :chibirobo:

Some people like Brawl Bowser because "He looks more terrifying", that's not a good reason

That's a good reason. :chibirobo:

to have a good reason, you have to see who's better in Brawl or Smash 4.

That's subjective. :chibirobo:
I mean, even when looking at tier lists of both, that's completely subjective
Like what if I prefer Smash 4 :gameandwatch: over Brawl :gameandwatch: just because he has a different walk cycle
What if that makes him "better" in my eyes
Y'know? :chibirobo:

Smash 4 basically buffed most of the veterans from Brawl,

Oh--
What's that?
:lloyd:, :megaman:, :sonic:, :wario:, :metaknight: and :sheik: are getting updated with some Smash 4 tools?
Well isn't that fortuitous :chibirobo:

but in SSF2 on the other hand, all I see is 80% Brawl and 20% the other Smash games,

I mean if it's 80% Brawl it's atleast 60% Smash 4 at the same time
I know the difference can seem like Night and Day, but they're pretty similar games
If anything I'd say SSF2 0.9b is more Smash 4 than it is Brawl, and 0.9b released before Smash 3DS did
It's strange :chibirobo:

the devs won't bother adding some Smash 4 SFX because they're just Brawl fanboys,

I'm not trying to be rude but I'm just saying. Otherwise, SSF2 is probably the best Smash fan game yet

I already know the better side of SSF2, I just said something I should have never said. Before anyone else wants to say anything trash to me, what did I do to deserve such punishment? Trust me, I have been in these kind of situations before, and I do not want to be in those situations again. At least show me some respect because I was only saying my opinion.... OH WAIT, nobody gives a f*** and I get jumped on anyway. What happen to freedom of speech? I said something that I shouldn't have said, SO WHAT..... OH WAIT, I was treated like s***. Oh yeah I'm the bad guy here, thank you all for making it clear and never respect other people's opinions. I have been playing SSF2 for 5 years and I just want to share my thoughts, but no, I realized that just keep your opinions to yourselves. So if ANY of you still want to treat me like s***, you all probably don't understand what I went through before

I don't understand how freedom of speech became "you can't tell me my ideas are wrong". The point of these forums is to discuss SSF2. That means if people disagree with things you post publicly, they'll respond: look at my history of spats in the forums. That's the point: it's how discussion and learning happens. You don't get to just say that no one else gets to tell you when they think your ideas are lame.

My day keeps getting better and better, I have a lot of people constantly correcting me and I deserve to be left alone for a while. Especially I had been in these situations before...

Anyway I am fine with Falco having his Brawl voice clips, they are nice.

I will be glad to welcome Falco's polished combo game (I've seen videos, don't test me), but I think the average player should be conscious of how devastating they might be to possibly the entire cast.
Maybe the move-strings or his damage output should be toned own.

Speaking of which, Falco's combo game is somewhat unpredictable at times. I mean the whole cast can have true combos once you've mastered them but Falco's combo game is broken (In a good way).
