a bunch of people on tumblr are organizing a swans tribute album that may potentially be heard by michael gira himself

so my friend and i decided to start working on a lo-fi black metal style cover of their song "i am the sun" just for kicks

and i just got word that musical demigod justin broadrick from godflesh/jesu/techno animal/final is interested in contributing to the project under the jesu name.

i am really f*** hyped to do this now this is going to be so much fun

a load of kickass bandcamp artists like bansheebeat, planning for burial and sun devoured earth are on board too. a lot of tough acts to follow but it's definitely worth the opportunity

the only black metal bands i really listen to on a consistent basis are Emperor (which i'm sure you know) and Falls of Rauros
you might like falls of rauros, idk. they're american so that might be a problem if you're a purist or whatever
